9/24/2019 Fastpath Support
Fast path is an alternative routing mechanism to the routing table. In fast path, the responses to incoming network traffic are sent back by using the same interface as the incoming traffic. By avoiding the routing table lookup, fast path provides a quick access to data.
If fast path is enabled on an interface group and a physical interface in that group receives an incoming request, the same physical interface might not send a response to the request. Instead, any other physical interface in an interface group can send the response.
Support outside of Regular Service Hours is available and shall be agreed upon by Fastpath, Inc. And the Customer. Fastpath, Inc. Will strive to resolve incidents, within Regular Service Hours and will commit resources to resolve Incidents outside of Regular Service Hours when required. No one understands content collaboration services better than Cloud FastPath's support team. Their migration know-how help guarantee a successful outcome.
The Shared PERC 8 card supports FastPath feature, which improves application performance by delivering high I/O per second (IOPS). Under specific conditions with FastPath, the I/O bypasses the controller cache and is committed directly to the physical disk from the host memory or directly from the physical disk. All simple nonspanned virtual disks configured with Write-Through write-cache policy and No Read-Ahead read-cache policy can utilize FastPath. Workloads on SSD volumes provide the most performance improvement with FastPath.
